Estamos felices porque nuestro padre y nuestra madre los que dan vida, nos han dado buena vida y salud. Hoy nosotros, Danza Mexi’cayotl, tenemos gran orgullo porque les mandamos nuestra palabra. Aquellos señores, aquellas señoras, nuestros abuelos y nuestras abuelas nos enseñaron como sagradamente hacer enfrente del altar danza para nuestra madre tierra, nuestro padre sol y nuestros ancestros. Como nuestros maestros nos enseñaron, comenzaremos nuestra ceremonia el viernes 17 de julio, allá en el Rec. Center de Casa Familiar, con el Ensayo Real. El Ensayo Real comenzara a las 7 p.m. En homenaje a nuestros abuelos y abuelas concheros, danzaremos con teponaztlis, conchas, y sonajas de guaje. Después, el sábado 18 de julio, comenzaremos el recibimerinto de las palabras y a pedir permiso de comenzar el sacrificio de la danza, y hacer la limpia de los guerreros y guerreras. Prepararemos nuestra cena a las 6 p.m. Comenzaremos hacer nuestra velación al las 8 p.m. El Domingo, 19 de julio ofreceremos nuestra danza allá en Chicano Parque al media día. Greetings compadritos and comadritas, our friends, we greet you!We welcome you to our 29th ceremony in honor of the Holy Family! We are happy because our father and our mother the givers of life, have given us good life and health. Today we, Danza Mexi’cayotl have the great honor of sending you our word. We are preparing for our twenty-seventh ceremony Mexi’cailhuitl. We will live our ceremony Friday the17th of July to Sunday 19th of July, 2009. Those men, those women, our grandfathers and our grandmothers taught us how to make in a sacred way, in front of our revered altar, to dance for our mother Earth, our father Sun, and our ancestors. As our teachers taught us, we will begin our ceremony Friday the 17th there at the Casa Familiar Rec. Center with El Ensayo Real (the Royal rehersal). El Ensayo Real will begin at 7 p.m. In honor of our conchero elders, we will dance with teponaztlis, conchas and gourd rattles. Then on Saturday the 18th, we will begin the receiving of the palabras, and we will begin to ask for permission that we may begin the sacrifice of the dance, and to carry out the cleansing of the warriors. We will prepare our dinner at 6 p.m. We will begin our vigil at 8 p.m. Afterwards, on Sunday 19th, we will begin our danza there at Chicano Park at noon.
